Friendship of a special kind (Moira Bianchi) – The P&P Bicentenary Challenge

Título: Friendship of a special kind
Autora: Moira Bianchi
Ebook, 450p.

Leitura total e completamente recomendada.

Will Darcy and Lizzy meet in a bar, introduced by mutual friends. He, an observant man, who did not interact with anyone outside their circle of close friends, get mesmerized by Lizzy. Presented, the conversation begins to flow between them and Darcy sympathizes with her. His friends note his change, since Darcy, even not having any problem in getting female companion, never showed so moved to meet a woman. Lizzie's friends also know that her friend needs a little joy in life and approve the interest of Darcy, until help. In one of their meetings with friends, the things between them get more… interesting. Darcy can disrupt everything, but she excuses him, and so begins a casual relationship, since none of them want commitment. The problem begins when Darcy realizes that he is in love. He already knows about her traumatic love life in the past, while he himself still has in mind a bad choice ... Now, he wants her to fall in love with him. But Lizzy is stubborn, sometimes even too much. Will Darcy be able to change her thoughts about the two of them?

This book is great. It was the first I read in the category of modern reinterpretations of Jane Austen. The differences between this story and the original are many, among them, besides the obvious, is the characterization of Darcy. He continues to be introverted, serious and responsible, but know he is funny, while Lizzy continues to be a good-humorous girl, as in the original. The first time the things heats up between them, the scenes are hot. Sooooo hot. The description of these scenes are very well written. Say that to much well written, if you know what I mean rsrsrsrs I loved watching his strategies of conquest. As always, Darcy is sophisticated and gentleman. Moira Bianchi changed some things, some characters were omitted (but of course Wickham appears). What surprised me: a tribute to Jane Austen :) Overall, this book is very good. The reader laughs, gets angry, melts with scenes of passion between the protagonists, and if possible,  falls even more for Lizzy and Darcy. Read fully and completely recommended.
